The photographer is in the main communication office between 41 and 45 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking aft and to port showing a desk in the foreground with a rack on it containing a speech converter and units labelled BID/150 No. 1 and BID/150 No. 2. Three bays against the ship's side contain Powquip teleprinters and one has a CJC unit above the teleprinter. Beyond the teleprinter positions are racks of electronic units festooned with cable connections. Against the aft bulkhead are two junction boxes, a clock reading 09.54 and a maintenance bay with a teleprinter terminal unit on it.
