On board the Type 81 general purpose frigate Eskimo (1961) in No. 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard during her 1971-1974 modernisation. The photographer is in the main communication office between 41 and 45 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking aft and slightly to port from 43½ station showing a maintenance bay with a teleprinter terminal unit on it, a battery panel, a supply panel, two junction boxes and a clock reading 09.55 against the aft bulkhead. Against the ship's side is a rack of electronic units festooned with cable connections. A vertical format negative.
