The photographer is in the junior rates' dining hall between 50 and 56 stations on 2 deck looking forward and to starboard from to port of the centreline at 55 station showing two tables set fore and aft with their stools and a chair upturned on the tables. On the left is the tea making unit and a cold sweet counter and two fuse panels are against the forward bulkhead. A row of full-height cupboards and a cleaning gear locker are against the starboard bulkhead. Christmas decorations adorn the deckhead of the hall.
