The photographer is in the P.O's mess between 73 and 77 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking forward and to starboard showing a settee bench against the starboard bulkhead. Above the settee is a plaque depicting "Piston Broke" and a noticeboard. Between the settee and the access to the sleeping area are a shelf with a mirror above, an automatic emergency lantern and coat hooks. The forward partition has lift out panels and a curtain covers the access to the sleeping area.
