The photographer is in the junior rate's mess between 41 and 45 stations on the starboard side of 3 deck looking aft from the port side of the mess showing a line of kit lockers with suitcase racks above against the port bulkhead. A triple tier bunk unit, more kit lockers with suitcase racks above, a litter bin and a mirror are on the left. A fire extinguisher and an automatic emergency lantern are against the aft bulkhead at the foot of the stairs leading up to 2 deck. A vertical format negative.
