On board the Type 81 general purpose frigate Eskimo (1961) in No. 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard during her 1971-1974 modernisation. The photographer is in the transmitting station annexe between 45 and 50 stations on the port side of 3 deck looking to port from 47½ station showing a rectifier unit on the right. In the foreground against the cooler fan casing are a filing drawer unit under a desk on which is a wiring diagram for a predictor. Affixed to the cooler fan casing is the staff chart for the week commencing 10 December 1973 showing that four of the five crew were on leave. A vertical format negative.
