On board the Type 81 general purpose frigate Eskimo (1961) in No. 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard during her 1971-1974 modernisation. The photographer is in the gyro compass room between 47¼ and 48½ stations on the centreline of 3 deck looking forward and slightly to port showing the 'B' control panel equipped with a circuits control cabinet, a transformer power isolation unit, two compass retransmission units, a junction box and a spark suppression unit. An hand-written card gives the date 4/12/73. A vertical format negative.
