On board the Type 81 general purpose frigate Eskimo (1961) in No. 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard during her 1971-1974 modernisation. The photographer is in the seamen's mess between 50 and 56 stations in the middle and port side of 3 deck looking into the port forward corner of the sitting out area from 54 station showing a settee bench in the corner with a cupboard and a bookshelf above it. A chair and a mess locker with teapots and jugs on it are on the right. Christmas decorations are under the deckhead.
