The photographer is in the mortar projectile compartment between 68 and 73 stations on the starboard side of 3 deck looking forward showing the mortar projectile stowing racks and the loading racks on the left. Against the ship's side on the rightt are shelves for the stowage of demolition charges, cordtex, firing pistols, carts, grabs, fuses, joining bands, etc. Three drums containing mortar muzzle covers are alongside the starboard shelves. A fire extinguisher is near the watertight door in the forward bulkhead.
