On board the Type 81 general purpose frigate Eskimo (1961) in No. 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard during her 1971-1974 modernisation. The photographer is in the engineer's spare gear store and pump space between 76½ and 78 stations on the centreline of 3 deck looking to starboard and aft from the door showing the stripping pump in the foreground and the fresh water pump in the aft corner. Three starter panels, a fire hose rack and an emergency change over switch and connection box are against the starboard bulkhead. A vertical format negative.
