On board the Type 81 general purpose frigate Eskimo (1961) in No. 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard during her 1971-1974 modernisation. The photographer is in the engineer's spare gear store and pump space between 76½ and 78 stations on the centreline of 3 deck looking to port and forward showing the flexible connection of the stripping pump in the right foreground. Storage racks are against the port bulkhead and the door to the space is at the top of the stairs. A vertical format negative.
