The photographer is in the 4.5 inch magazine and shell room between 37 and 41 stations on the port side and centreline of 4 deck looking into the forward starboard corner showing shell racks against the forward bulkhead. A vertical steel ladder and a wire rope ladder lead up to the watertight scuttle in 3 deck. A bottle rack for cartridges is against the starboard bulkhead. A telephone is mounted on the end of another bottle rack on the right. A vertical format negative.
