The photographer is in the sonar instrument compartment between 16 and 28 stations on 3 deck looking forward and to starboard showing two desks with drawers and cupboards under. On the desks are aerosol cans of solvent cleaning fluid and WD-40 instant maintenance oil. A telephone, a notice concerning radioactive valves, cupboards, a bookshelf and a storage shelf are above the desks. On the bookshelf are instruction manuals for the type 778 echo sounder, the type 162M sonar and at least eight handbooks for the mortar control system type 10.
