The County class guided missile destroyer Hampshire (1961) in the fitting out basin of John Brown & Co Ltd at Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire. The ship is berthed port side to the quay. The photographer is on a raised position on the quayside abreast the superstructure at 01 deck level looking to starboard and aft showing the slab-sided superstructure between 70 and 90 stations. The ship's name plate and honours board are on either side of the door into the officer's bathroom at 78 station on 01 deck. Above 02 deck are the forefunnel and the signalling deck.
