The photographer is on a raised position on the quayside abreast the ship's superstructure at 01 deck level looking to starboard and aft showing the port side of the ship from 100 station to the flight deck, including two 25 feet motor cutters, the after funnel, the port GWS21 Seacat launcher and director, the open hangar, the type 901 radar director and the Westland Wessex HAS.1 helicopter XP156 (1962) 902/HA. The base of the mainmast is on the left. A warrant officer has come aboard with his holdall and kitbag.
