Her starboard anchor is deployed and she has an accommodation ladder rigged to her shell doors amidships. The photographer is on board the Cunard Line cruise ship Franconia (1923) which is also at anchor. He is looking forward from the starboard side of the poop showing one of the ship's motor tenders under her falls being lowered into the water Other boats and her foremast are on the left. A settlement at the head of the fjord has a church near the water's edge and there are patches of snow on the mountains in the background.
