A distant port side view of the Cunard Line cruise ship Franconia (1923) anchored in Geirangerfjord off Merok, Norway.
A distant port side view, taken from well ahead of the beam, of the Cunard Line cruise ship Franconia (1923) anchored in Geirangerfjord off Merok, Norway. She is in all-white livery, her port anchor is deployed and she has an accommodation ladder rigged to her shell doors amidships. Two of her lifeboats have been launched and one of them is alongside just abaft the accommodation ladder. Another of her boats is heading for the shore and a small motor vessel and a motor boat are at anchor on the right. The tops of the mountains are shrouded in low cloud and there are patches of snow on the slopes.
