A port very near broadside view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the Cunard Line cruise ship Franconia (1923) at anchor in an unknown location. She is in cunard livery with a black hull and white upperworks. Her starboard anchor is deployed and she has an accommodation ladder rigged to her shell doors amidships. Lifeboats 1, 2 and 16 have been launched. The horizon is not quite level and the negative is slightly out of focus.
