A slightly distant port broadside view of the Cunard Line cruise ship Franconia (1923) anchored in Geirangerfjord off Merok, Norway. She is in all-white livery, her port anchor is deployed and she has an accommodation ladder rigged to her shell doors amidships. Two of her lifeboats have been launched and one of them is alongside the accommodation ladder. Another of her boats is returning to the ship from the shore and a small motor vessel and a motor boat are at anchor on the right. There are patches of snow on the mountains in the background.
