On board the County class guided missile destroyer Hampshire (1961) in the fitting out basin of John Brown & Co Ltd at Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire. The photographer is in the wardroom galley between 81 and 84 stations on the starboard side of 1 deck looking to port. The cooking range, including the high level grill, is against the forward bulkhead. Against the aft bulkhead are the work top, storage cupboards, drawers and shelves.
