On board the County class guided missile destroyer Hampshire (1961) in the fitting out basin of John Brown & Co Ltd at Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire. The photographer is in the operations room between 58 and 67 stations on the centreline of 2 deck looking forward and to port from near the centreline at 65 station showing an action information communications console and visual display unit in the foreground. Near the port side are two Admiralty Research Laboratory plotting tables with wooden covers and two visual display units are between them. Next to the door in the port bulkhead is an automatic emergency lantern and the starter panel for the marker cabinet, the operations room display and the two plotting tables.
