On board the County class guided missile destroyer Hampshire (1961) in the fitting out basin of John Brown & Co Ltd at Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire. The photographer is in the operations room between 58 and 67 stations on the centreline of 2 deck looking forward on the port from 65 station showing two Admiralty Research Laboratory plotting tables with wooden covers on the right. An automatic emergency lantern, a dimmer unit, a fire extinguisher, the starter panel for the marker cabinet, the operations room display and the two plotting tables, two illuminated stateboards and a high level cupboard are against the port bulkhead.
