On board the County class guided missile destroyer Hampshire (1961) in the fitting out basin of John Brown & Co Ltd at Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire. The photographer is in the steam turbine room between 90 and 106 stations on 3 deck looking to port and aft showing various starter panels and a change over switch against the aft bulkhead. Stairs leading up to 2 deck are close to the aft bulkhead. A small workbench with a cupboard and four drawers under and equipped with a vice is on the platform with a Sharples super-centrifuge to the left of it.
