On board the County class guided missile destroyer Hampshire (1961) in the fitting out basin of John Brown & Co Ltd at Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire. The photographer is in the gas turbine control room between 123½ and 128 stations on the centreline of 3 deck looking into the starboard forward corner showing the communication desk, four telephones, a switchboard, two junction boxes and a fire alarm repeater panel against the forward bulkhead. A cupboard, a machinery plan and an automatic emergency lantern are against the starboard bulkhead. The stairs lead up to 2 deck. The same image as negative number N38770.
