Tube
An unfinished brass tube.
This piece is associated with the Herschel family since it features in the catalogue made of all the astronomical material extant at the Herschel house in Slough (Observatory House) in 1924. It may be that this is how the Herschels bought in the brass that Alexander Herschel then worked on to turn into eyepieces and other accessories for their telescopes.
