The County class guided missile destroyer London (1961) in a dry dock at the Neptune Works of Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd at Wallsend-on-Tyne. The photographer is standing on the floor of the dock to starboard of the hull at 140 station looking aft and to port showing the starboard propeller shaft including the shaft swell, eddy plate, both A brackets and the five bladed propeller. The port shaft and propeller can also be seen. Draught marks are painted on the hull. Scaffold boards and stacks of hop-up frames are piled on the floor of the dock.
