On board the County class guided missile destroyer London (1961) alongside the fitting out berth at the Neptune Works of Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd at Wallsend-on-Tyne. The ship is moored starboard side to the berth. The photographer is standing on the starboard side of 2 deck at 175 station looking to port showing the Seaslug Mark I missile launcher and loading position between 170 and 175 stations on 2 deck. The tail rotor of Westland Wessex HAS1 helicopter XP151 (1962) (175/LO) can be seen in the top right. Fitting out alongside the R & W Hawthorn, Leslie (Shipbuilders) Ltd shipyard is the train ferry Cambridge Ferry (1963), yard number 754, launched 1 November 1963 and delivered in December 1963.
