The ship is moored starboard side to the berth. The photographer is standing on the starboard side of 03 deck at 58 station looking aft and to port showing the gun direction platform and the foremast. The MRS3 director is on the right and the MF/DF loop aerial is ahead of the gun direction platform. On the projecting platform of the foremast is the aerial for the Type 978 high definition surface search navigational radar and on the masthead platform is the aerial for the Type 992Q missile and gun target search indicator radar. In the background is the top of the mainmast with its bedstead AKE1 aerial for Type 965 long range air search radar. A vertical format negative.
