On board the County class guided missile destroyer London (1961) alongside the fitting out berth at the Neptune Works of Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd at Wallsend-on-Tyne. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in one of the commander's cabins on the port side of 02 deck looking aft showing a bunk berth with12 drawers under and a wardrobe against the ship's side. A large desk with filing trays and a bookshelf above is against the inboard bulkhead. There were two of these cabins, one between 66-71 stations and the other between 71-76 stations. A vertical format negative.
