The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the wardroom between 68½ and 78 stations on 01 deck looking to port and forward from the starboard aft corner showing two tables laid with cutlery, side plates and condiment sets. An electric fire is against the ship's side with settee benches on either side of it. A bar unit, the ship's crest and a cabinet containing a television set are against the forward bulkhead. In a newpaper and magazine rack are The Times and The Economist and above this rack is a clock reading 01.36. The curtained door to the pantry is on the left.
