Two passengers looking aft by the ship's rail on board the Swedish cruise ship Gripsholm (1925) at New York. It is assumed that this couple are on the ship's aft docking bridge and the photographer is looking up, to port and slightly forward from the starboard side of the promenade deck. The ship's bell is fixed to a stanchion on the centre line.
