A starboard quarter view of the Swedish cruise ship Gripsholm (1925) alongside a wharf at Colon, Panama.
A starboard quarter view of the Swedish cruise ship Gripsholm (1925) alongside a wharf at Colon, Panama. She is in all-white livery, is dressed overall and is flying the Blue Peter from the starboard yardarm on the foremast. Her promenade deck has been enclosed. An accommodation ladder is rigged at a shell door forward and wind scoops are in use in many of the cabin ports. There are piles of steel pipes on the quayside and in a lighter alongside. Many motor cars are parked on the quay. Oil tanks are in the background and one of them has the letters CPIN painted on it. The negative is very slightly out of focus.
