The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the officers' cooks and stewards mess between 72 and 80 stations on the starboard side of 1 deck, looking aft on the port side of the mess. A fire extinguisher and an automatic emergency lantern are by the side of the door on the right. A triple tier bunk unit is against the inboard bulkhead. Two kit lockers and a triple tier bunk unit are on the left. A mirror and an empty fire extinguisher spare cartridge holder are fixed to the end of the kit lockers. A chilled/hot water constaflow unit and a folding table stowage are against the aft bulkhead.
