On board the County class guided missile destroyer London (1961) alongside the fitting out berth at the Neptune Works of Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd at Wallsend-on-Tyne. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the ordnance workshop between 90 and 97 stations on the port side of 1 deck. An electric grinder and a Fortis F6 vice are on a workbench on the right. A Fortis F6 vice, a Paramo vice and two locked toolboxes are on the bench on the left which has drawers and cupboards under it and pigeon hole racks and cupboards above it. A four drawer card index cabinet and a bookshelf are against the end bulkhead.
