The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the passage between 110 and 123½ stations on the starboard side of 1 deck looking forward showing filter panels in the ventilation trunking on the left. Four starter panels are further forward on the left. An automatic emergency lantern and the ship's library cupboards are against the starboard bulkhead. Two large fuse panels and an automatic emergency lantern are next to the watertight door in the forward bulkhead.
