The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the crew's galley between 123½ and 136 stations on 1 deck looking forward and to port showing the vegetable preparation space. The door to the galley is in the port forward corner with a sink unit and an Hobart mixing and mincing machine next to it. An Hobart meat slicing machine is on the right and on the extreme right is a case of eggs with the tested and packed date of 04 NOV stamped on it. An automatic emergency lantern is fixed to a pillar in the centre and a fire extinguisher is close to it.
