The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the passage between 45 and 58 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking aft. On the right are a whereabouts diagram for section 45-58, a fuse panel and the doors to the ABCD headquarters and the wheelhouse. Against the ship's side are a portable transformer, a breaker switch and coil of cable, a fire extinguisher, and a canvas covered cable stowage bracket. Next to the watertight door is an automatic emergency lantern.
