The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the communication centre between 67 and 71 stations on the centreline of 2 deck looking to port showing twelve chairs, a desk with pigeon hole and book racks above, one teleprinter, two shredders, five receiver/transmitters and one other unit against the aft bulkhead. Eight chairs, five teleprinters, two receiver/transmitters and one other unit are against the forward bulkhead. The Communications Department watch and quarter bill is fixed on the right and a clock reading 01.40 is against the port bulkhead.
