The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the communication centre between 67 and 71 stations on the centreline of 2 deck looking to starboard showing twelve chairs, five B40 receiver/transmitters, two shredders, a teleprinter and a desk with pigeon hole and book racks above against the aft bulkhead. The senior man's desk is in the left foreground and it is equipped with a morse key, two telephones, a telephone control box, an exchange unit, a thermal noise generator, three filter units, three intercom loudspeakers and a small combination safe. Eight chairs, five teleprinters, two receiver/transmitters and one other unit are against the forward bulkhead. A key cabinet, two safes, a clock reading 08.41 and an automatic emergency lantern are against the starboard bulkhead. The radio call sign of the ship is GHFZ.
