The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the passage between 106 and 128 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking aft and to starboard from 124 station showing an open hatch leading down to the gas turbine engine room and beyond it is the door to No. 8 air treatment unit space. On the right is the Pyrene high level mechanical foam spray installation for machinery spaces. Against the starboard bulkhead are the starter panels for the gas turbine engine room supply and exhaust fans. A vertical format negative.
