The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the passage between 148 and 163 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking aft from 149 station showing fire hose baskets and canvas covered cable stowage brackets against the ship's side. In the lobby in the right foreground are a hatch leading down to the crew's mess on 3 deck and an emergency first aid cabinet. The watertight door to the Seaslug missile side magazine is in the inboard bulkhead and stairs leading up to 1 deck are beyond it. A vertical format negative.
