The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the gas turbine engine room between 114 and 128 stations on 3 and 4 decks. He is looking along a walkway showing a Sharples Super-Centrifuge and a Serck Radiators Ltd cylindrical unit on the left. Above the cage protected propeller shaft are two gauges labelled 'L.O. heater oil inlet temp.' and 'L.O. heater oil outlet temp.'. A diesel oil tank switch panel manufactured by William White (Switchgear) Ltd of London is against the end bulkhead on the right. A vertical format negative.
