The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the lobby between 167 and 173 stations on the port side of 3 deck looking forward showing the stairs up to 2 deck. On the left against the ship's side are a greatcoat cupboard with sliding doors, a fire main and a fire hose basket. On the right is the arched opening into 3R crew's mess, an automatic emergency lantern and a fire extinguisher. A vertical format negative.
