The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the lobby between 173 and 178 stations on the port side of 3 deck looking forward showing a canvas covered cable stowage bracket against the inboard bulkhead. An automatic emergency lantern is next to the door in the forward bulkhead. Against the ship's side are steel units, possibly external floodlighting equipment. A vertical format negative.
