The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the conversion machinery room between 64 and 72 stations on 4 deck looking aft and to starboard from the centre line showing the main battery stowage on the left. Three Westinghouse rectifiers are against the aft bulkhead. A Muirhead machine and a fan motor starter are against the side of the ship.
