The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the gyro compass room between 69 and 72 stations on the centreline of 4 deck looking to starboard showing the gyro master compass on the left and an Admiralty gyro master compass amplifier rack and console type G are against the forward bulkhead. Two C.R.U. retransmission units and a cupboard are against the aft bulkhead. Two starter panels, a voltage regulator, a telephone and a motor generator are against the starboard bulkhead.
