On board the County class guided missile destroyer London (1961) alongside the fitting out berth at the Neptune Works of Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd at Wallsend-on-Tyne. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the guided weapons pump room between 151 and 157 stations on 4 deck looking to port. The motor starter panel is against the forward bulkhead with the steel ladder up to 3 deck next to it. A small pump is near to port side and three large pumps are against the aft bulkhead. Betwwen two of the large pumps is a work bench fitted with a Fortis F4 unbreakable vice. A vertical format negative.
