On board the County class guided missile destroyer London (1961) alongside the fitting out berth at the Neptune Works of Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd at Wallsend-on-Tyne. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the Seaslug missile power room between 139 and 148 stations on the starboard side of 4 deck looking forward and to port showing generators on deck with a ventilation unit above them. Two transformers and a starter panel are against the port bulkhead which separates the Seacat GWS 20 missile magazine from the power room. The door to the lobby is on the right.
