The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the fuel working position between 78 and 84 stations on the starboard side of 5 deck showing seven wheel controls for controlling the supply of furnace fuel oil from various tanks. A diagram against the bulkhead shows the dieso and F.F.O. filling suction and transfer and F.F.O. stripping and renovation. Alongside it is another diagram showing fuel filling suction and transfer system in forward F.F.O. working space. An indicator warning panel for F.F.O. and service tanks levels, manufactured by William White (Switchgear) Ltd of London, is on the right.
