On board the County class guided missile destroyer London (1961) alongside the fitting out berth at the Neptune Works of Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd at Wallsend-on-Tyne. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in a small unknown space, possibly on 03 deck, looking into a corner. On the left is a radio unit manufactured by Murphy Radio Ltd and the plate on the side of the unit reads 'Type MT870A, serial number 121'. A telephone is fixed to the side of the radio. To the right of the radio are the 'Patt. 25062 switch fuse boards "C", "A" and "B" and the fuses are for various external lights including the Admiral's poop lights, masthead flashing lantern, fog lights, side lights, forward anchor lights, etc. Against the bulkhead on the right are a desk, a dimmer switch for the overtaking light, a main broadcast alarm push button, a telephone and the interphone No. 16 to the O.O.W. on the bridge. On the deck is a transit case for a test set. A vertical format negative.
